HOW I CAN HELP

Whatever brings you here,
there is room for you.

You don’t need a label for what you’re feeling, or a clear idea of where to begin. We can start with what life is like for you right now.

I offer individual counselling for adults in Corby, online and by telephone.

START WITH WHAT MATTERS TO YOU

Anxiety, stress & overwhelm

When it feels difficult to switch off.

You may find yourself worrying about what comes next, feeling stretched by everyday demands, or struggling to make space for your own needs. Sometimes it can be hard to explain why everything feels so much.

We can explore what you are carrying, how it affects your day-to-day life and what support might feel helpful to you.

Grief, loss & bereavement

When life has changed around an absence.

Loss can bring feelings that are difficult to name or share. Grief may affect your relationships, routines and sense of who you are, and it does not always follow the course you expect.

I support people experiencing grief, loss and complex bereavement. We can make room for your experience without expecting you to move through it on someone else’s timetable.

Trauma & experiences of abuse

Your pace matters.

Past experiences, including childhood sexual abuse, can affect trust, self-worth and relationships long afterwards. You may be holding feelings of shame or finding it hard to feel safe with others.

I offer trauma-informed, person-centred support and experience working with survivors of early sexual trauma. We can explore what feels important without expecting you to tell everything before you are ready.

Depression & low mood

When everyday life feels heavy.

Low mood may leave you feeling disconnected, drained or less interested in things that used to matter. It can be difficult to describe what has changed, especially when others cannot see it.

Our conversations can give you space to explore how you are feeling and how it affects your life. We can think together about your needs and the support that feels right for you.

Self-esteem & confidence

When your inner voice is your harshest critic.

Perhaps you question your decisions, put other people’s needs first or feel you have to prove your worth. You may want to understand yourself beyond the expectations you have learned to meet.

Counselling offers space to notice those beliefs, recognise your needs and explore a more accepting relationship with yourself.

Relationships & parenting

When connection feels complicated.

Difficulties with partners, family, friends or parenting can leave you feeling unsure of yourself. You might be navigating conflict, changing roles or a need for clearer boundaries.

In individual counselling, we can look at your experience of these relationships, what matters to you and how you would like to relate to others.

Life changes & direction

When the familiar no longer feels quite right.

A change in work, family life or personal circumstances can bring uncertainty as well as possibility. Sometimes there is no single event, just a feeling that you want something to be different.

We can make room for the feelings around change and explore your values, choices and hopes for what comes next.

Identity & belonging

A place for every part of your experience.

Questions about identity, culture or belonging can touch many parts of life. You may be balancing different expectations or wondering where you feel most able to be yourself.

Your background and lived experience are yours to define. I offer a space to explore them with respect, without expecting you to fit someone else’s idea of who you should be.

Faith & spirituality

Room for belief, questions and uncertainty.

Faith or spirituality may be a source of support, a part of your identity, or something you are questioning. You may also prefer for it not to be part of counselling at all.

My Christian faith informs my personal values. Our conversations are guided by what matters to you, with respect for your beliefs, including if you have no faith.
